James Short Memorial School Planning Survey 2025

Thank you to everyone who participated in our school planning engagement. Due to low participation in our online survey, and in the interest of protecting the anonymity of those who responded, we won’t be sharing the results on our school website.

The survey responses we received have been reviewed and will be considered in making decisions about school planning.

Below you will find a brief summary of the February School Council meeting results/comments:

• Field trips and related transportation were highly valued by families.
• Families learn about the School Development Plan through:

• Participants expressed the need to:
• • Carefully prioritize learning experiences and activities
  • Minimize financial burdens on families
• A yearly off-site activity fee of $30 per student was considered reasonable.
